Obituary

According to His will, Margaret Ann Shanklin, 69, peacefully transitioned to eternity on Thursday, January 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering Christian service, love, and devotion. Funeral Services will be Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Ethelsville, AL, with Rev. Robert Moore officiating. Born on December 31, 1954, Margaret Ann was the second eldest of four children to Margie Ree Gardner Neal and David Neal in Liberty, Alabama. Throughout Margaret's life, the threads of care and support that she offered others were interwoven with threads of faith and dedication. Her role in the lives of family and friends extended far beyond conventional definitions. Whether through a warm smile, a lending hand, or a comforting word, Margaret was a source of solace and strength. Her commitment to helping others was not just a duty
but a heartfelt calling.

Professionally, she dedicated 20 years of her life to Weyerhaeuser, where she made lasting contributions and formed lifelong friendships. Margaret also showed her civic dedication with many years of service to her community as a devoted poll worker. Her retirement from Weyerhaeuser marked the end of a chapter but not the end of her impactful presence in the lives of those she touched.
