Marian Ruth McAdams, 93 of Vernon, Alabama formally of Kennedy Al. died on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Generations of Vernon.

Born Friday, March 26, 1926 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Mr. Stephen Marion Turner and Mrs. Ruth Wilson Turner.
Mrs. Marian McAdams taught at Kennedy Elementary for many years, she was book keeper for Kennedy Lumber Co., White Pole and Timber and Brown Wood Preserving. She also taught Sunday School and loved to paint. She loved all her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Stephen and Ruth Wilson Turner and husband Mr. James Searcy McAdams.

She was a member of Kennedy United Methodist Church.

Surviving are sons, Terry McAdams (Kim) of Sulligent, AL, Steve McAdams (Charlotte) Newnan, GA and David McAdams (Roxie) of Tuscaloosa, AL; 7 grand children; 8 great grand children.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel,

Interment will be in Kennedy City Cemetery.

Officiating will be Mr. Terry McAdams and Mr. Roy Bush.

Pallbearers will be Daniel McAdams, Tyler McAdams, Spencer McAdams, Kyle McAdams, Brent Johnson and John Paul Land.
