Obituary
Marianne Vick Mordecai, 67 of Kennedy, AL died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Visitation will be Tuesday Oct. 27, 2015 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm with Funeral services at 2:00 pm at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Kennedy City Cemetery.
Mrs. Mordecai was born on March 24, 1948 in Fayette, AL to the Late Z.D. & Elizabeth Noblin Vick, Jr. She Attended Kennedy High School where she graduated Class of 1966. She continued her education at MUW in Columbus, Ms graduating in 1970 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught Elementary school in Lamar County as well as Fayette County for many years. She was a member of Kennedy United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren. Mrs. Mordecai was preceded in death by her parents, Z.D. & Elizabeth Vick.
She is survived by: her husband of 46 years, James Wiley Mordecai, of Kennedy, her children, Jason(Angie) Mordecai, of Kennedy, Tori Mordecai(Jon) Carson, Glen Allan , Ms, mother-in-law Elsie Mordecai, Kennedy, and 4 Grand Children, Aaron & Andrew Mordecai, Lillie Grace & Reed Carson
