Martin (Marty) Devon Rector, 57, died May 31,2022, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Memorial services are held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 1, at Dowdle Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Bush officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Millport City Cemetery.

Marty was born in Columbus, MS to Jerome and Jo Ann Rector, March 21, 1965. He was a graduate of Millport High School and a native of Lamar County. Mr. Rector was employed at International Paper in Columbus, MS where he retired. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Newman Rector and his infant brother, Michael Jerome Rector. He was survived by daughters, Laura Bobbitt (Lance) and Megan Estes (Kaleb), parents, Jerome and Jo Ann Rector, brother Greg Rector(Suzanne) and nieces Sophie Rector and Olivia Condra (Mark), grandchildren (Grace Anne Bobbitt and Lincoln Martin Estes).

Pallbearers are Phillip McNees, Lane Wright, Jeff Conn and Keith Bryant.
