Mary Angelyn Aldridge Hughes passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, in Fayette, AL.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Tommy Hughes, her parents, Nathan and Jennie Faye Aldridge, her brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Linda Sue Aldridge.

Angie, as she was known, leaves behind two children, Risa Gena Bond Rast (Christopher) and Sonya Hughes Stegar (Tyrone). She had two grandchildren, Mackenzie Stegar Wilson (Hunter) and Logan Stegar.

Angie was a worker/supervisor at the Kennedy Garment Plant for many years. She also worked at both Kennedy and Millport Drug Stores. Her last job was running the Flowers Bakery Bread Store in Fayette, AL. She loved working and did not want to stop, but her health started failing her.

She loved gardening and canning/preserving her foods, and she was known for making delicious candies and delights during the holiday season for many years. Also, her biscuits were the absolute best.
