Mary N. Junkins, 88,of Tuscaloosa, formally of Kennedy, died Feb. 12, 2015, at Heritage Health Care in Tuscaloosa. Services were Saturday with the Rev. Terry McAdams officiating. Burial followed at Kennedy City Cemetery. Dowdle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Junkins was born Sept. 30, 1926, to the late Willie Horn Cooper and W. A. Cooper in Fayette County, Alabama. She was a graduate of Fayette County High School. She was formerly employed at Westinghouse. She was a member of Kennedy United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lynwood Junkins. She is survived by her son, Max Junkins of Kennedy, Alabama; daughter, Vicky Killen of Tuscaloosa; sisters, Elizabeth Butler and Almeda Smith, both of Tuscaloosa; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Butch Knight, Tony Mordecai, Jeff Richards, Tim Killen, Derrek Davis and Shawn Ratliff.
