Mary Smith Tedford, 65, passed away on January 15, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born on April 7, 1956 to Dorothy Poole Fowler and Eddie Lackland in Gary, Indiana.

She confessed Christ at an early age at the New Grove Baptist Church in Kennedy, AL. She leaves to mourn three daughters, Tracy Smith Sutton of Carrollton, AL; Tabitha Smith Perrigin of Millport, AL; Tammy Michelle Brackett of Kennedy, AL; three step daughters, Monica Tedford of Guin, AL; Jessica Tedford of Carbon Hill, AL; Veronica Tedford of Missouri; six grandchildren, Dorian Slater Pugh of Carrollton, AL; Jazmine Mc Dowel (Tylan) Hardin of Mobile, AL; Devan Alan Perrigin of Millport, AL; Dakota Wayne Bates of Guin, AL; Braxton Lee Bates of Guin, AL; Jonathon Allen Tedford of Carbon Hill, AL, and her special friend Kurtis Hickey of New Hope, MS.

She leaves behind her mother, Dorothy Fowler, one sister Tommie Jean Williams of Tuscaloosa, AL, and one brother Robert Earl Hughes of Kennedy, Al.

She also leaves to mourn a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews  throughout Indiana, Washington DC, California, Florida, Alabama, and Texas.

There will be a memorial service held for Mary Smith Tedford at Dowdle Funeral Home on Saturday January 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel with Bro. Kevin Dixon officiating.
