Michael James Barrett, age 29, passed from his earthly home on November 12, 2015 at Abbeville Medical Center in Abbeville, SC. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at 2:00 p.m. on November 21, 2015 at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL with Bro. Claude Thompson officiating. Michael was born October 7, 1986 in Columbus, MS. He was an electrical foreman with ElDeCo and was working in South Carolina. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, mud riding, and just hanging out with family and friends. He will be best remembered for his generous heart and his playful, mischievous spirit. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother Michelle Wright, his grandfather Sunny Barrett, and his step brother Tony Skipper. Survivors include his son, Haiden Barrett of Florence, AL; father, James Barrett of Killen, AL; Great Grandmother Ruth Hollis (Bill) of Millport; Grandmothers JoAnn Barrett of Killen, AL and Mickie Harrison (Charles) of Ethelsville, AL; Grandfather Alfred Wright of Macon, MS; his brother Deven Cooke of Fernbank, AL; sister Taylor Price (Anthony) of Sulligent, AL; step sister Raven Ash of North Carolina; Uncles Jon Barrett (Brandy) of Killen, AL and Ricky Wright (Tracy) of Zion, AL; Aunts Lori Tinker (Mike) of Tuscumbia, AL, Debra Wright of Ethelsville, AL, Sondra McNorton (Tony) of Brunswick, GA; cousins Kaila Bull (Scott), Seth Chambers, Elliott Chambers, Hannah Barrett, Chase McNorton, Apps McNorton, Callie McNorton, Jessica Brown Harrison, Ben Brown, Mikki Rae Dawkins, Mason Wright, and Miley Wright. He is also survived by a host of family, friends, and coworkers. Michael's greatest love on this earth was his 9 year old son.
