Obituary

Mickie Harrison, 81, of Ethelsville, AL, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. There will be a funeral service on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Liberty, AL, with Bro. Joey Lucas officiating. Burial will follow the service at Andrews Chapel Cemetery. 

Mickie loved Jesus and her family. She found great joy in worshipping her Lord through song. She was a talented pianist who blessed others with her gift of music. Mickie was happiest surrounded by the people she loved, especially when cooking and enjoying time together. Mickie's joyful spirit, generous heart and love for others will be remembered by all who knew her. Mickie's faith has now become sight. 

She is survived by her daughters, Sondra Wright and Debra Wright; sons, Ricky V. Wright (Tracy); brothers, Joe Vaughn (Donna), Eddy Warn, Teddy Warn (Melanie); 9 grandchildren, Chase McNorton, Apps McNorton (Victoria), Callie McNorton, Deven Cooke, Jessica Brown, Ben Brown (Katie), Mikki Rae Dawkins, Mason Wright, and Miley Wright; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Harrison; mother, Willie Ruth Hollis; daughter, Michelle Wright; brother, Stonie Vaughn; grandchild, Michael Barrett; great-grandchildren, Ranie Black and Gabriel McNorton; grandparents, George Wesley Wood and Callie Yates Wood.

Pallbearers will be Chase McNorton, Ben Brown, Mason Wright, Deven Cooke, David Lowrey, and Clint Kyles.
