Dennis Michael "Mike" Beard, 69, passed away at Trinity Health Care Center in Columbus, MS on June 8, 2020. Services will be Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Interment will be at Springhill Cemetery in Millport, AL.

Mike was born on July 8, 1950 to Manuel Morris Beard and Mary Willette McGee Beard. He was a computer technician and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved music and played several instruments; even playing guitar and bass backup for several professional groups.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Beard, a sister Rita F. Sisson, a brother, Gary L. Beard, 2 nephews, Hutch Beard (Melanie) and Ross Sisson (Kendra), 2 nieces, Staci Beard Evans (Tim) and Raegan Sisson Schulz (Justin). He had 6 great nephews, Ross Evans, Bailey Evans, Conner Beard, Channing Franks, Krew Schulz, Koda Schulz and one great niece, Madi Beard.

He is preceeded in death by his parents and a baby sister.
