Obituary
Mrs. Minnie Ruth Hudson, age 83, of Kennedy, Alabama died Sunday, August 17th at Fayette Medical Center.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 19th, at 2:00 pm at Dowdle Chapel with Bro. Billy Carl Sullivan and Bro. Terry Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Kennedy City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hudson was born April 2, 1931 to Nolan and Wilma Godfrey Johnson. She was retired from McCoy Manufacturing and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Lamar County, Alabama, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a pillar of the community. She was married to R. C. Hudson for 66 years before his death in 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ricky Hudson, three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by daughter Margie Hudson, son Olen Hudson and wife Jimmie Nell, sister Inez Bobbitt, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
