Mitch McGee, 59, passed away on August 19, 2023 in Franklin, TN. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. with Bro. Gary Seay officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Millport, AL.

Mitch was born on February 21, 1964 in Columbus, MS to Truman and Nancy Jo McGee. He graduated Millport High School in 1982 and was loved by classmates and friends. He attended Words of Faith Baptist Church. He liked fishing and was a big Alabama football fan and he loved going to the river to ski and swim. He had a special dog "Cooper" whom he loved to take on walks; especially to McDonalds for a snack. Mitch loved big family get-togethers, spending time with friends and had a special relationship with his in-laws. He had a contagious smile and a sweet soul and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Mitch is preceded in death by his father, Truman McGee and a grandson, Colson McGee. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Jo McGee, his wife, Tonya McGee, a son, Landon McGee (Anna), two daughters, Myranda Walker (Blake) and McKenzi Keasler and two grandchildren, Ryleigh and Maddie McGee.

Pallbearers will be John Shockley, Dwayne Nance, Danny Walker, Michael Gilliam, Roger Connell and Tommy Adair.
