Doris Nadine Dean, 85, of Millport, Alabama passed away on December 11, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Hamilton, AL. There will be a private family service on Monday, December 14, 2020  at 11:00 a.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. with Bro. Luke Bozeman and Bro. Larry Shelton officiating. Graveside services for family and friends will follow the service at Macedonia Cemetery in Millport. The family has asked that masks and social distancing be observed.

Nadine was born on May 12, 1935 to Jackson Lorenzo and Ina Wilkins Shelton in Friendship, Alabama. She loved the Lord, her family and her church family. She was devoted to her husband of 64 years and her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren. She loved to cook and you never left her house hungry. She spent many hours reading and studying the Lord's word. She was a very virtuous woman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harlan Bruce Dean, sisters Birteen Edwards, Mozelle Langston, Edna Plyman, Betty Dean and Inelle McGee. Brothers Alvin Shelton, Bobby Shelton, Shorty Shelton, Joe Shelton, Eugene Shelton and Roland Shelton.

She is survived by four daughters, Dianne Lacey (Dan), Deborah Pugh (Charles), Darlene Spain and Cindy Corbett (Tim) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Dean, Johnathan Gann, David Hill, Hayes Plyman, Dale Shelton and Allan Ott. Honorary pallbearers are Members of Macedonia FWB Church.
