Nancy Bradford, 76, of Columbus, MS, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at her residence in Columbus, MS. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Beckon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery in Kennedy, AL.

Nancy was born on June 30, 1950 in Louisville, Mississippi to the late Charlie and Lilly Mae Walker. She grew up in Plattsburg, Mississippi where her father was a tenant farmer. He had polio but he worked everyday. She loved to garden, loved humming birds, loved to cook, and loved her dogs, Princess and Smudgey. She worked for Weyerhaeuser for many years until she retired.

She is survived by her husband, Emmitt Bradford Jr. (Buddy); son, Lynn McCrimon (Loria), Shane Bradford (Christina) and Joley Hamby (Edwin); sister, Joyce Bushey; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lilly Mae Walker; sisters, Dolly McBrayer, Earlene Keene, Nora Higdon, Molly Howard, Mae Hill; brothers, Perry Walker and Jr. Walker.
