Obituary
Oscar Wayne Maddox, 75 of Millport, Alabama died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi.
Rev. Maddox was born, Aug. 29, 1940 in Mobile, AL to the Late Marion Jackson & Margaret Edna Busby Maddox. A 1971 Graduate of Southeastern University he had served as an Ordained Assemblies of God minister snice 1972. He pastored Churches in Prattville & Millport Al and Columbus, Ms. He was a devoted Christian, Husband, Father and Grandfather and was a selfless friend to countless others. He was never with out a funny story to share.
Surviving are wife, Carolyn Box Maddox of Millport, son, Tony (Kathy) Maddox of Columbus, MS, daughters, Paula (Billy) Nelson of Fairhope , AL and Shelia (Lennis) Crimm of Millport, AL, brothers, Carl (Judy) Maddox of Mobile, AL and George (Teresa) Maddox of Mobile, AL, sisters, Lora Armstrong of Mobile, AL and Rebecca Forman of Gulf Shores, AL; 7 grand children; 3 great grand children.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Springhill Baptist, Millport, AL. With Rev. Kenneth Heneager & Rev. Chester Clark officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Dowdle Funeral Home,
