Ottis Lee Johson, 82 of Kennedy, Alabama died on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at DCH in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Born Tuesday, April 17, 1934 in Kennedy, Alabama, to the late Dee & Estell Johnson. He worked 49 plus years at American Trouser as a Sewing Machine Mechanic before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Johnson.
Surviving are son, Ricky Johnson of Kenendy, AL, daughter, Debbie (Glen) Strickland of Buhl, AL, sister, Ruby Nell Moore; 2 grand children;Brandi(Chad) Smith of Coker, AL & Craig (Mary Margaret) Strickland of Buhl, AL, 2 great grand children, Sutton & Sawyer Smith.
A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Kennedy City Cemetery, with Rev. Ed Nabors and Pastor Steve Strickland officiating.
Pallbearers will be, Craig Strickland, Chad Smith, Terry Wilson, David Conklin, George Prater, Keith Strickland, Tim Moore & Joel Stripling.
Honorary Pallbearers are, Lee Younger, Ottis Tilley, Clay Barham, Mark Bobbitt, Dr.'s & Nurses and staffat DCH, & The Noland Center
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Dowdle Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Assoc. or donors favorite charity.
