Phillip Campbell Jr. (PJ), age 29, of Northport, Alabama, passed away on February 13, 2026. PJ was born on April 18, 1996, in Sheffield, Alabama to Phillip and Tarra Campbell. Funeral services will be Friday, February 20, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Northport Church of God, 2412 Lurleen B. Wallace Blvd., Northport, AL 35476. Visitation will be 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Williamson Cemetery in Northport, AL.

PJ was known for his strong, independent spirit and unwavering faith. More than anything, he loved God and he made it his life's mission to share that love with others. The first thing most people noticed about him was his deep devotion to God, followed closely by the incredible testimony of all he had overcome in his life. He had a contagious sense of humor and a heart full of compassion, especially for the lost and homeless. When he loved, he loved hard, giving his whole heart to family, friends, and anyone God placed in his path. A tireless worker, he poured 110% into everything he did, never taking shortcuts and always striving to give his best. His greatest joy came from preaching the gospel, whether from a church pulpit or on the streets, reaching out to those who needed hope. He lived boldly, loved deeply, and walked faithfully, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance, kindness, and unwavering devotion to God. 

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Rev. Donald Coleman Sr., grandfather Ray Campbell, grandmother Linda Kelly, and aunt Starlet Taylor.

He is survived by the love of his life, Abbie Bierd, parents, Phillip and Tarra Campbell, sister, Veronica (Andrew), nephew, Jackson, niece, Ellie, grandmother, Peggie Finch (Bud), and many loving family and friends.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Sherwood, Cain Dove, Danny Oswalt, Jeff Oliver, Devin Marlin, Jim Fitch, Frank McMillan and Jordan Carter.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jackson Black, Andrew Black, Derrick Fundren, Mattie Nelson, Nathan Richardson, Hunter Coleman, Josh McDill, Ben McDill, Jacob McDill, Kyle Elmore, Jay Fitch, Brantley Reach and Roman Howton.
