Phillip Dean Stripling, 68, passed away at the Weaver Group Home in Northport Alabama on December 30, 2020. Graveside services for family and friends will be Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Springhill Cemetery in Tuscaloosa County under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.

Phillip Dean was born in Fayette County, Alabama to William B. Stripling and Gertie Hayes Stripling. He was a resident of Partlow for many years and was loved by all. For the past 10 years he was a resident of Weaver Group Home in Northport, Alabama. He loved to listen to the radio and take them apart, so he asked for one for Christmas every year. He also loved to watch TV and go out to eat, especially french fries. He loved people and everyone loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rose Marie Stripling, brothers Dorwood Stripling, Vernie B. Stripling, J.B Stripling, William Reese and Lloyd Reese.

He is survived by a sister, Velma (Sis) Hartley, brothers Dennis Stripling (Peggy) and Doug Stripling (Martha), sister-in-law Betty Stripling, a host of nieces and nephews and the Weaver Group Home Family.
