Phillip was born and raised in Louisiana and only 7 short months from retiring and moving to Millport, AL. with his children and grandchildren to spend the rest of his days. He evacuated to his daughter's house to escape Hurricane Ida and spent his last days with some of the people he loved the most and left this world while fishing with his grandbabies. He loved his country and he always stood up for what was right. Phillip  was the protector of the family...all he worried about everyday is that his grandbabies were safe and happy. He was married for 29 years previously and together they had 4 children and 6 grand children. His family was his world. All he ever talked about was how much he LOVED Millport Alabama and how friendly the people are. He couldn't wait to officially move here! He was amazed at the amount of deer in the area, he just couldn't believe it. He loved hunting and all things camouflage.

He is survived by his daughter, Heavenli Trapen Cox (Larry), a son, Phillip Andrew Trapen, a sister, Cindy Trapen Lin (Ming Lin) a brother, Michael John Trapen (Bobbie) and 6 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two sons, Phillip Trapen Jr. and Justin Phillip Trapen.
