Rachael Rushing Shackelford, 60, passed away January 15, 2021 in Coaling, Alabama. There will be a private family viewing Tuesday, January 19, 2021. There will be a graveside service for family and friends at Meadow Branch Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on January 19, 2021 with Bro. Robert Parrish officiating.

Rachael was born on February 10, 1960, in Fayette, Alabama. She was raised in Kennedy, Alabama and was a graduate at Kennedy High School. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. She also loved to cook and loved taking care of her garden and flowers.

She is proceeded in death by her father, John Thomas Rushing and her mother, Faustine Parker Rushing, her two brothers, Rickey and Randy Rushing. She is survived by her daughters, Trisha Shackelford, Tisha Shackelford, Tiffany Shackelford, Cheryl Shackelford, son, Corey Shackelford, sister, Linda Byars, and her brothers, Bill and Bob Rushing. She was also survived by her 13 grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Earlie Poe, Mark Brown, Phillip Rushing, Stanley Rushing, Scott Rushing, Steve Rogers, and Rodney Gayles.
