Rebecca Hancock, of Brookwood, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Rebecca was a devoted Christian and a woman with the sweetest and most caring soul. She was always there for anyone who needed her, offering love, kindness, comfort, and support without hesitation. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with her daughter and grandchildren.

Rebecca was the world's most amazing and loving mother and grandmother. She loved her family with her whole heart, and that love remained strong until the very end. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and through the family she loved so deeply.

Rebecca enjoyed sewing and gardening, finding happiness in creating beautiful things and caring for the world around her. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering faith were a beautiful reflection of the person she was.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Hancock; her grandchildren, Bella Hancock, James, Tyler, Sarah Schoenvogel, and James Lawrence; and her great-grandson, Carter Lee Lawrence. She is also survived by her mother, Carolyn Cork; and her siblings, Lisa House and Ray Hancock.

Rebecca's family finds comfort in knowing that her faith carried her through life and that this goodbye is not forever.

John 16:22 "Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you."

This verse reminds us that, as Christians, death is not final. Though our hearts are filled with sorrow today, we hold onto the hope that one day we will see Rebecca again, reunited in God's presence, where there will be no more pain or sadness—only everlasting joy.

Rebecca will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Pallbearers will be Will House, Nick House, Chad Hancock, Christian House, Jacob House, and Chad Lawrence.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL, with Bro. Randy Gray officiating.
