Rick Potash, 72, passed away on July 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Rochester, New York, Rick proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had a lifelong passion for bowling, traveling across the country to compete. His dedication to the sport earned him the title of State Singles Champion, and he also competed on the national bowling circuit.
Never one to shy away from having fun, Rick also placed 4th in a National Mullet Competition.
Rick was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Glenda Potash, and a loving uncle who cherished his family. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Potash; his mother, Dolores Walmsley, his siblings, Janice Jeffries, Donna Hartman, and Glenn Taillie; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Rick will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humor, his love for family, and the lasting friendships he made throughout his life.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, Alabama. Family and friends are invited to attend as they gather to celebrate Rick’s life and honor his memory.
