Ricky Edward Stripling, age 68, passed away on Sunday June 15th, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi.

Ricky was born on December 13, 1956, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the Late Lavern and Floyd Edward Stripling of Millport, AL. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Randy Stripling of Amory, MS.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Ricky was a devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He found great joy in the outdoors and had a true passion for woodworking. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his nieces and nephews, always bringing laughter and love into their lives.

He is survived by his sister, Debra Hudson (Randy) of Millport, AL; brothers, Gary Stripling (Vickey) of Millport, AL, and Tim Stripling of Spartanburg, SC; as well as six nephews and one niece: Chad Hudson (Casey), Brittany and Justin Stripling, Tristan Stripling (Kayla), Keith, Jonathan, and Dale Stripling. He also leaves behind a host of great-nieces and great-nephews who will remember him with affection and fondness.

In accordance with the family's wishes, a private celebration of life will be held.

Ricky will be remembered for his warmth, wit, and unwavering love for family and football. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and will be deeply missed.
