Mr. Robert Lee Speed, Jr., 83 of Ethelsville, Alabama died on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital GT in Columbus, Mississippi.
Born Wednesday, February 4, 1931 in Ethelsville, Alabama.
Mr. Speed was preceded in death by parents Robert Lee and Bessie Leola Hill Speed; sister Dorothy " Cookie" Clemmons, and wife of 62 years Joyce Bennett Speed.
Surviving are sons, Charles Speed, Dennis Speed and Steve Speed, daughter, Betty Hartley; 7 grand children; 11 great grand children.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Springhill Baptist Cemetery, Millport, AL. Masonic Rights will be held at grave side.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Dowdle Funeral Home.
