Mr. Rodger Dale Watkins, 69 of Millport, Alabama died on Monday, December 26, 2016, at DCH Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held on December 29, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport AL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 A.M. Bro. Nick Cannady will conduct the service and be assisted by Bro. David Honeycutt.

Rodger Watkins was born Wednesday, January 1, 1947 in Millport, Alabama to the late William Watkins and Hazel Aldridge Watkins. He was a retiree of 30 years from United Technologies in Columbus MS. and the owner/ operator of Millport Tool and Die. Mr. Watkins was the husband of Rebecca Watkins.

Mr. Watkins is preceded in death by his parents, William and Hazel Watkins.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Watkins, sons, Tim (Becky) Watkins of Kennedy, AL. and Ryan (Pam) Watkins of Millport, AL, brother, Larry (Kaye) Watkins of Millport, AL, sister, Delaine (Elmer) Motes of Killen, AL; 4 grandchildren; Andrew (Jessica) Watkins of Millport AL. Kella Watkins of Winfield AL. Kaci Watkins of Millport AL. and Hunter Watkins of Millport AL., also, 2 great grandchildren.

Pall Bearers will be Howard Byars, Terry Cook, Danny Blakney, Larry Robertson, Shane Watkins, and Chester Shaw.

Interment will be in Kennedy City Cemetery,
