Roger Tanner went home to be with the Lord on April 1, 2022 at his home in Kennedy, AL. He went to his new home in Heaven on his 81st birthday.

Roger was born, April 1st, 1941 in Hemingway SC. He was a dedicated Christian and a vital part of his family's ministry, Expectation Ministries. He was a retired house painter. Roger loved spending time with his family, going to church, going to gospel singings and he loved his westerns! He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallie Eugene Tanner and Georgia Mae (Chandler) Tanner and his sister Geraldine Tanner Nesmith. Roger spend 65 years in Hemingway SC. but has lived in Kennedy, AL. for the past 16 years.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margie Parsons Tanner his two children, son Timothy E. Tanner (Jackie) and daughter Robin Tanner. Roger was blessed with nine grandchildren,  Robin's son, Joshua Springs (Chelsea), Timothy and Jackie's children, Kendalyn, Ezekiel, Zendaya, Elisha, Ezmae,  Zeeva, Isaac, and Isaiah.  Joshua and Chelsea will bless Roger and Margie with their first great grandchild later this year. One brother, Ronnie Tanner (Virgel) with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and special family friends
