James Ronald "Ronnie" McAdams, 77, of Millport, Alabama, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 15,2024, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Ronnie was born in Millport, Alabama on December 31, 1946 to Alow and Minnie Lee (Mathis) McAdams. He graduated from Millport High School and became a certified welder and finished his career as a jailor at Lamar County Jail.

Ronnie is survived by his sister-in-law, Gloria (Turner) McAdams of Millport, Alabama and his only niece, Misty McAdams Sloan, of Northport, Alabama, one nephew-in-law, Brian Sloan of Northport , Alabama, one great-nephew, Davin Sloan and one great-niece, Lydia Sloan of Northport, Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alow McAdams and Minnie Lee (Mathis) McAdams and one brother, William Stanley McAdams, all of Millport, Alabama.

A memorial service/ family visitation will be held at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, Alabama on Thursday evening, July 25, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
