Sharon Yvonne Merchant, 61, passed away on January 1, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was the wife of the late Jeff Merchant and the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Evelyn Cunningham. She was a life long resident of Pickens County.

Sharon was a well known cook, having worked for many local restaurants during her lifetime. She was a very outgoing person and a friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by 2 sons, Justin Merchant (Montana) and Tyler Merchant (Paige) and 5 precious grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. with Bro. James Godsey and Bro. Lynn Godsey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Internment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Reform, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Keith Swedenburg, Terry Rhudy, Andy Duncan, T.J. Rhudy, Dennis Dwyer and Lloyd Hardin.
