Shellia Grady, 64, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on February 5, 2023, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Long and Bro. Ray Aldridge officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the chapel. Burial will follow at Higdon Cemetery in Kennedy, AL.

Shellia was raised in Kennedy, AL, to James and Bessie Stripling. She graduated from Kennedy High School in 1977. After graduating high school, she worked at Bosch for many years. She then went to work at ERC in Huntsville, AL. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their truck on long haul trips with their headquarters being in Olathe, KS.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Richard Wright; sisters, Ruthie Mae Baswell and Martha Ann Waterbury; and brothers Jerry Stripling and Ricky Stripling.

She is survived by her husband, Michael P. Grady; sons, Myron Wright, Jason Wright, and Daniel Grady; daughter, Catherine Grady; and brothers Jimmy Stripling and Scott Stripling.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Stripling, Scott Stripling, Chris Myles, and Ryan Grady.
