James Timothy (HotRod) Richards, 53, passed away on May 26, 2020 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. Visitation will be Thursday evening, May 28, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the chapel. Graveside services will follow at Millport City Cemetery with Dowdle Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Mark Jordan, Melvin Murphy, Jim Richards, Buster Ponds, Dennis Dwyer and Will Kellum.

Tim is survived by his wife Larissa Richards, a stepson, Dusty Ponds, a step daughter, Carley Ponds, one daughter, Lacie McCluskey, his parents, Gene Richards and Phoeba Robertson and three sisters, Joy Murphy (Melvin), Jeanie Kemp (Mike) and Jan McCullough (Wade).

He will be loved and missed by family and close friends and especially his two dogs, Roady and Rudy, which were his pride and joy. He touched the lives of so many people; to know him was to love him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.
