Obituary

Virgie Aliene Rickman, 92 of Columbus, Mississippi, formerly, of Millport Alabama, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Trinity Health Care in Columbus, Mississippi.

Born Saturday, October 11, 1924 in Liberty Community, Alabama to the late Jim Trapp and Maudie Bell Ruffin Trapp, She was a graduate of Liberty High School and a former Ms. Liberty. She was married to her husband, the late Mayo Rickman, on Jan. 16 th , 1943. Mrs. Rickman was a long time member of the Liberty Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim Trapp and Maudie Trapp, her husband, Mayo Rickman, sisters; Mrytie Sansing, Celeste Cordle, and Adele Trapp, brothers; Rev. Edwin Trapp and Robert Trapp, and son, Larry Edward Rickman     =

Surviving are sons, Jim Rickman and William Gregory Rickman, daughter, Nancy Turner of Millport, AL, sister, Mindie Bee Justis of Maryland, 3 grand-children, and 3 great grand-children.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Clegg, Terry Smith, Daniel Rickman, Jerry Aldridge, and Kevin Lee Rushing

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 3 rd , 2017 at 11:00 AM at Andrews Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Dowdle Funeral Home prior to the service on Friday, March 3 rd . Interment will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery,
