Virgil Wayne Glasgow, 59, of Fosters AL passed away on Friday June 28th, 2019 in Tuscaloosa AL.
Born May 28th, 1960 to the late Vergle Glasgow and Annie Parker Glasgow he was the husband of Leisa Glasgow. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, papa, mentor, and friend.
"Catfish" as he was known to his friends, Wayne was a 1979 graduate of Kennedy High School. He attended Higdon Church of God for 17 years and was currently a member of the Victorious Life Church for 30 years where he served as a deacon and an usher. He lived to serve the Lord and minister to others.Wayne was a man of Godly character, always quick to witness and ensure all he encounter knew Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. He never met a stranger and always had a funny story to tell.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday July 2nd, 2019 at Higdon Church of God in Kennedy, AL at 12:00 Noon.
The Visitation will be Tuesday July 2nd, 2019 at Higdon Church of God in Kennedy, AL from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.
Burial will be in Higdon Church of God Cemetery.
Mr. Glasgow was survived by his wife of 32 years, Leisa D. Glasgow of Fosters, AL, daughters, Kristi Glasgow of Berry, AL and Wendi Stinnett (Bryan) of Ralph, AL, grandchildren; Jayston Tyree, Joshua Stinnett, and Caleb Pennington, sisters, Virgie Corkerin (Calvin) of Bankston, AL and Darlene Corkerin (J.D.) of Bankston. AL and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vergle Jefferson Glasgow and Annie Lou Parker Glasgow, his nephew, Daniel Glasgow, and his grandparents, Jim and Mittie Glasgow and Thomas and Victoria Parker.
Officiating the service will be Dennis Avery and assisting will be Doyce Armstrong.
Pall Bearers will be Jayston Tyree, Joshua Stinnett, Joseph Stinnett, David Glasgow, Johnney Corkerin, and Bryan Pennington.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Jonathan Lenahan, Jeff Lenahan, Mike Glover, Dr. Tyler Eads and the staff at Wound Care, Dr. Edward Carraway and the Cardiology Association, DCH MICU Nurses, and Britt Lovvorn.
