KENNEDY, ALA. —Wade L. Smith, 78, died Nov. 10, 2015, at Generations of Vernon. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Stough officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel. Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Smith was born in Ripley to the late Henry Clay and Alberta Cavness Smith. He was previously employed as a mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Foster Smith; and daughter, Ramona Sanders. He is survived by his son, Henry L. Smith of Amory; and daughters, Deborah Evans(James) of Big Creek, Glenda Oswalt(Terry)of Fayette, Alabama, Linda Rogers(Jimmy)of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Nancy Mullins(George)of Nettleton, Brenda Davis(Jerry)and Henrietta Slade(Larry), both of Hamilton; 20 grandchildren; and 69 great-grandchildren Pallbearers will be Dustyn Smith, Shannon Prestave, Terry Prestave, Raiden Prestave, Jason Smith and Eric Prestave.
