Mr. Walter Lyndon "Lindy" Parker, 79 of Millport, Alabama died on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Born Monday, November 15, 1937 in Pickens Co. to the late Mr. Leland Wilson Parker and Mrs. Ruth Shackleford Parker..
Surviving are Wife, Mary Jeanette Parker, Millport, Al, daughters, Kathy McDaniel (Tony) of Carrollton, AL and Tammy Daniels (Billy) of Vaughan, MS, sister, Betty Stimac of Reform, AL; Sister- in- Laws; Dorsey Watkins, Fayette AL, Mattie Ruth Rogers (Billy) Millport, AL, Debbie Long (Billy Dean) Kennedy, Al., Brother-in-laws; Ricky Owens (Sharon) Millport, AL Jerry Owens (Margaret) Florence,AL;3 grand children; Jessica Dillard, Jodi McDaniel, Ashley Hickman.; 2 great grand children; Wesley Reese and Brandon Reese, and a host of nieces & nephews.
Mr. Parker was a lifelong resident of Pickens and Lamar Counties. He spent his life as a truck driver and retired from Phifer Wire. In his retirement he enjoyed yardwork, Alabama football, and his basset hound, "Wilson". The family wishes to thank the doctors and Nurses at DCH for the loving and skillful care they provided for our loved one.
A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Dowdle Funeral Home located in Millport, Alabama Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Millport, AL.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Dowdle Funeral Home,
