Wesley Ray Barrett, 82 of Kennedy, Alabama died on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Arbor Woods Health and Rehab in Reform, Alabama.

Mr. Barret was born Thursday, August 16, 1934 in Kennedy, Alabama, to the late John Wesley Barrett and Pearl Porter Barrett.

He worked as a truck driver for most of his life and became a minister at 55. He pastored for 11 years.

Mr. Barrett was a member of Church of God of Vernon.

Surviving are sons, Wyman Barrett (Mary) of Kennedy, AL and Douglas Barrett of Carrollton, AL, daughter, Wanda Hildreth (John) of Palmetto, AL, sisters, Catherine Worthy of Fayette, AL, Jean Thompson and Jane Cannon; 8 grand children; 9 great grand children.

The Funeral Services are on Friday, November 25th, 2016 at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with the services promptly following at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be in Kennedy City Cemetery, Kennedy, AL.
