Mr. Billy Daffron, 88 of Sulligent, AL died Feb. 13, 2016 at his home.
Visitation for Mr. Daffron will be Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Dowdle Funeral Home with funeral serivce to follow at 2:00 pm from Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Millport City Cemetery.
Mr. Daffron was born, May 26, 1927 in Millport, Al to William Ross & Mary Sue Winters Daffron. He was a Graduate of Millport High School and began a career with Alabama Power Company. He married Mabel Conner Daffron in 1948, he then left Alabama Power to serve his country in the US Army, serving as an Instructor during the Korean Conflict. He then return to Alabama Power and stayed until his retirement in 1987. He was a Mason, a member of Von Bayer Lodge and a member of First Baptist Church , Sulligent, AL where he served as Deacon, Trustee and Sunday School Teacher for many years. But most of all, he was a loving husband, strong caring father & grandfather and a very generous man of God.
