William "Larry" Whitson, 76, of Kennedy Ala. departed this life Thursday, August 17, 2017 at DCH Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Whitson, Daughter, Pamela Lisowski, (Dave). Son, Tim Wade Whitson, (Tina), Sister, Ava Sue West. Step-Children, Scott Driver, Sherlaine Stull (Louie). 2 grandchildren; 3 Step-Grand children.

He is preceded in death by his grand parents.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to DCH and their Cancer Center for their love and support.  He will be greatly missed by numerous family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be his friends.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, August 20, 2017, at 2:00pm at Dowdle Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
